UCMS Group Russia together with published an article “What do you need to know about Shared Service Centers?” The material describes the main milestones in the development of the Shared Service Centers (SSC) market in Russia and in the world.
SSC began to appear in Europe and the United States a couple of decades ago. Their essence is to consolidate and modernize administrative functions in areas such as accounting, payroll and HR administration.
Now the SSC market is growing at a serious pace in the world. Thus, according to a study by the Executive Survey of Towers Watson, more than 40% of companies planning changes in the principles of implementing back-office functions are going to switch to using SSC, about a third are going to transfer their additional functions to existing SSCs, 26% are going to transfer some functions to outsourcing. None of the respondents who already use SSC are going to abandon this model.
